Heavy rains could not stop partners in Mumbai from attending the 10th The DQ
Week awards function held on September 15, 2008. The event wrapped up the
four-city The DQ Week awards for the year, where over 130 channel partners all
over the country were felicitated for their performance. 39 partners were
awarded for the West region.
Almost 450 partners turned up at the Mumbai awards night. The winners are
decided by an independent panel comprising eminent representatives from vendor
and distribution companies. The Mumbai event was backed by the Traders
Association of IT (TAIT). Chetan Shah, VP, TAIT gave a short presentation about
the association and the activities it conducts. For the first time, a joint
award was given by The DQ Week and TAIT to the upcoming entrepreneur in the
city. This was bagged by Umesh Mehta of Chipcom Traders.
Anil Pant, VP-Channel, Sify Technologies made a presentation and unveiled its
thin client solutions.
