Ittiam Systems announced its IP videophone solution on the newly launched
Windows Embedded CE 6.0 from Microsoft. Built on TMS320 DM6446, DaVinci
technology based processor from Texas Instruments, Ittiam's videophone, code
named IPVP6446 is a software plus hardware solution that has been licensed
across US, Europe and Asia. It is accompanied by a reference platform that can
be customized for specific application scenarios. The videophone offers
H.264-based video, complete range of speech codecs, telephony and signaling
functions fine-tuned for hands-free speakerphone operation for peer-to-peer or
multi-way conferencing.
Ittiam has now made the solution available on Windows Embedded CE 6.0
operating system along with the complete board support package necessary for the
videophone application. The company has already licensed the IPVP6446 solution
on Windows Embedded CE 6.0 for an innovative videophone application and is in
active discussion with several other OEMs and ODMs.
