SolidWorks announced that SolidWorks 2007 software is its first 3D CAD
product available and certified by Microsoft for the new Windows Vista operating
system. SolidWorks Edition for Windows Vista users benefit from features like
translucent windows, dynamic reflections, and smooth animations that will help
them focus on their content rather than the tools and interface, reducing
software overhead.
The SolidWorks software is fully integrated with the new Instant Search
feature in Windows Vista and this integration enables design teams to accomplish
more work in less time. Windows Vista's productivity features will benefit
SolidWorks customers such as Leatherman Tool Group.
In other enhancements, SolidWorks Edition for Windows Vista for the first
time provides high-resolution images as previews in common dialogs
and search results. The framework will give users much more information without
requiring them to open the documents.
SolidWorks Edition for Windows Vista will also take advantage of the RSS feed
capabilities in Windows Vista, giving SolidWorks a new, efficient way to deliver
tips, notices, and event information to customers.
