Epson's new photo printer

Sunday, January 21, 2007

Epson announced the launch of its Epson Stylus Pro 3850. This new addition to Epson's professional printer range, is one of the most compact A2 printers in the market and can fit comfortably on most desktops. Featuring Epson UltraChrome K3 inks and print technologies, the Epson Stylus Pro 3850 is suited to fast printing environments and ideal for the professional photography, fine art, proofing and graphics markets. Epson's UltraChrome K3 inks are excellent for any color, greyscale or black and white printing demands. With three blacks (black, light black and dark black), users can achieve a smoother transition between different levels of grey tones in prints, improving areas of highlight and shadows. Weighing less than 20kg, this printer has a new compact design and narrow depth, but still delivers large format prints up to A2 size. This design allows the printer to be effectively used on a desktop and makes it ideal for smaller workspaces without compromising output size or quality.

The highly stable formulation of Epson's UltraChrome K3 inks help to combat metamerism effects regardless of ambient lighting. With Epson's UltraChrome K3 inks, users can easily achieve smooth color tones, perfect color reproduction and unmatched color stability. The Epson Stylus Pro 3850 is priced at Rs 83,500, and available from Dec 2006.
