Sony India's Recording Media and Energy (RME) division has announced the
launch of two next generation optical media devices – the Blu-ray disc and the
DVD 16x disc equipped with AccuCORE technology. Blu-ray discs offer a storage
capacity of 25GB, close to five times the resolution of conventional DVDs, while
the DVD16x offers an ideal solution for reliable backup with enhanced data
stability, greater temperature adaptability, longer media lifespan and
uninterrupted high-speed access to the data.
Both these optical media recording devices ensure reliable data recording,
increased disc protection and enhanced durability. The AccuCORE technology
offers key advantages such as scratch guard, archival reliability to prevent
data/image corruption and deterioration, stable writing that reduces fluctuation
as the disc spins.
