Xerox India Ltd announced the launch of two digital
production equipments - DocuColor 5000 and Xerox 4590 EPS. DocuColor 5000 is a
mid production digital press targeted at the graphic arts community and direct
marketing agencies, while the Xerox 4590 entry production-black and white
printer is targeted at advertising agencies and commercial printers.
The DocuColor 5000 digital press is the latest in a long list
of advanced digital presses from Xerox. The new DocuColor 5000 is a 3000 4/0
impression per hour digital press, which is the first digital color press that
addresses the needs of printing operations that have mid-range monthly print
volumes and that require more advanced printing features.
The DocuColor 5000 is
designed for print providers that average between 30,000 and 150,000 impressions
per month, featuring with 2,400x2,400 dpi print resolution. The DocuColor 5000
is compatible with three different color servers including Xerox Free Flow
DocuSP, EFI Fiery and Creo Spire to provide outstanding color-management
tools along with a user-friendly
interface.
The Xerox 4590 EPS is a black and white production printer
targeted at enterprises of all sizes. It has been designed for transactional and
publishing environments. With distinctive image quality the printer combines
speed, reliability and flexibility. The Xerox 4590 EPS prints at an impressive
90 pages per minute at 2400 x 2400 dpi. In addition, it has powerful processing
capabilities due to Free Flow Docu SP software that comes with the machine
installed on Sun server.
