Saturday, July 29, 2006

Eastern Software System (ESS), an ERP company announced that its flagship product ebizframe is now available, in addition to Windows, on Red Hat Linux as well. ESS now has a single source code for both Windows and Red Hat operating systems. ESS decided to port ebizframe on Red Hat because it is certified on Oracle 10g products, free upgrades available on web, efficient support, user friendliness and its growing use and popularity. Both the database server as well as the application server can run on the Red Hat Linux environment now.

ESS, with support from Oracle and Red Hat Singapore started porting ebizframe on RedHat Linux and completed the initiative within two months with a team size of eight engineers. It included installation, configuration of Oracle Database, Oracle Application Server, Oracle Collaboration Suite and Oracle e-business Suite on Red Hat Linux.
