Targeting the home and SOHO users, the Epson Stylus CX3700
is able to produce BorderFree printouts up to A4 in size. It has intelligent
INKdividual cartridge system, which allows the user to replace only the ink
that has been used with low-cost genuine Epson cartridges. An in-built Black Ink
Save mode also mixes colours when black ink runs low, ensuring colour
consistency and continued printing.
 Users can also print, scan and copy photos directly with
this printer, which incorporated DURABrite Ultra ink, ensuring durability with
each printout. The water, smudge and fade resistant properties of this ink
combine with a very quick drying time to promote improved economy by avoiding
reprints as a result of text highlight smearing or smudging due to handling.
Epson has designed a simple control panel that allows fast and simple operation
of the printer in a stand-alone mode. With the 600dpi CIS scanner, there is
virtually no warm-up time. The Creativity Suite is a new integrated software
bundle that is designed to automate many of the tedious tasks involved in
printing. The Easy Photo Print gives a simple three-stage interface for the user
to choose the image, position/frame the image, then print in durable colour. The
scan to e-mail or fax function makes sending scanned articles simple.
