SMART Technologies has rolled out SMART Ideas software 5.0 for the Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems and Tablet PCs. The software will enable students, teachers and administrators to create multilevel concept maps using unlimited levels, colorful symbols, connectors, clip art and multimedia files.

The key new features include three-dimensional global view, more intuitive outline, presentation view, Stickies view, Switch between languages, Legend creation and New drawing and text-formatting tools. Other new features include boost visual and auditory appeal by playing video and sound files inside the map symbols. Map themes can be customized, wallpaper and alignment of text and symbols is also possible. Proofread and revise map text using more powerful Spell Check and Find/Replace functions that scan multiple levels.
