Chennai: Chennai-based Mahavir Computer Spares has expanded its vendor portfolio by signing up four new vendors in a span of a month. This has helped the company to enhance its offerings in graphics cards, wireless and fingerprint scanners domain.

“We have been focusing on audio/video solutions in addition to other hardware peripherals. Now, we have expanded our portfolio by including a new range of graphic cards, fingerprint scanners and wireless solutions,” said MC Jain, CEO, Mahavir Computer Spares.

Recently, Mahavir tied up with Leadtek to offer a complete range of graphic cards starting from Rs 1,800 to 1,50,000. Leadtek will be the exclusive distributor for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry regions.

“Leadtek products are technically strong and are one of the pioneers in the industry. We believe customers will get the best value for their money from Leadtek,” Jain said.

Mahavir has also signed a pact with Digital Persona to market its fingerprint scanners for biometrics attendance system.

This aside, it has partnered with Level One, a Germany-based company that provides networking products and solutions, to market IP cameras and a range of wired and wireless solutions in Chennai and Puducherry.

The fourth vendor that Mahavir has inked a business deal with is Normus, a storage solutions company, for wireless hard disks and NAS (Network Attached Storage) solutions. These external storage devices come with show center and media center and can be connected to projector directly and accessed from Laptop for corporate presentations. On the NAS front, the product supports both wireless and media center features and the price starts from Rs 24,000.

“We offer first level service to all these products and will extend full support along with the company to address core issues,” Jain said.

“Currently, we are in talks with a company with international presence to market a range of LCD monitors of sizes ranging up to 64-inches. We would add more exciting products to our portfolio to offer our customers the best and the latest,” Jain added.
