Pune : The Computer Media Dealers Association (CMDA) Pune is planning to organize a technical seminar series during its 11th IT exhibition, which will be held from December 4 to 7, 2008. CMDA executive members have decided on eight topics to be discussed during the seminar. The technical seminar will focus on security to a large extent.

At the technical seminar series, Mehul Patel of Bio Analytical will talk about Network Security: Access Control. The next session will be on Non Technical Hacking, which will be taken by Rohit Srivastawa of Club Hack.

On Dec 5, Sachin Sonawane of Quick Heal will talk about cyber security-bots and bot. Adithya Godbole of Plug will present his views on Linux on the last day of the expo.

"Another topic of discussion in the seminar series is cyber crime. We have requested Rajendra Dahale, DCP to be present and deliver a speech to educate the gathering. The Cyber Police, Pune has been actively participating in the IT exhibitions since past three years," explained Shital Nahar, President, CMDA.

"The Cyber Crime wing will give information about online crime and how to play safe when people use credit cards to book online tickets. They are also going to discuss the important cyber laws that has been passed by the government. Unsecured Wi-Fi is another subject of discussion by the cyber police," added Nahar.

On Dec 7, Salil Dighe of Cybersafe Solutions will talk about information security and Joglekar of PLUG will discuss new trends in mobile Internet devices and notebooks. Another agenda on the IT exhibition is CIO conference.

On Dec 5, 2008, Patric Mathiac, VP of Cisco will inaugurate the CIO conference at Pride Executive. "We have invited 200 CIOs to attend the conference. We also got the confirmation from them. I hope this seminar will definitely help them to update the gathering about new happening in the IT hardware sector," said Nahar.

CMDA will also award participants for the best stall and the best seller in hanger one and two of the IT Exhibition. DSK Digital is the official sponsor of the awards night.
