Mumbai : Tulip Telecom is organizing a technical seminar today at Sir Dinshaw Petit International Convention Hall, Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Mumbai. The seminar will cater to stockbrokers who are present in Mumbai and come from other parts of the country to trade. On the agenda is to share the benefits of MPLS VPN technology for share-broking segment.

"The seminar will target 3,000 stockbrokers who are coming over to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Through this seminar we want to leverage the rate contract to each and every stockbroker in Mumbai. We want to connect them to our network," said Sudhanshu Ojha, Regional Business Manager, Indirect Sales, Tulip Telecom.

He added, "We approached the BSE and explained our technology and frozen the rates. We are approaching stock brokers through the seminar and ask them to take our connectivity with very minimal costs."

The company will have a technical team to lead the seminar. During the seminar they will talk about their technology and rate contract. Tulip Telecom is having plans to distribute silver coins one face printed with goddess Lakshmi and Ganapati and another face with the name of the company.

"The idea is to give sharing hands to the community in the recession time and inform them that we will be there to support you," explained Ojha.

Tulip wants to use the seminar as a vehicle to reach the targeted customers. This gives them conviction about the business model. Ojha said, "This will help our channels to penetrate in to the market segment smoothly. The very important advantage that I am looking at is the profit margin, which will keep on increasing when we do more and more business."

Tulip Telecom has 10 dedicated business partners for this particular business who will take care of BSE rate contract. The network business and related day-to-day activities has been given to our channel partners.

The seminar will be driven by technology and not by the company. "As the seminar caters to BSE people we are not allowed to endorse the company or brand," said Ojha.

Tulip has taken a list of all 3,000 stockbrokers in BSE and sent them an official mail as well as a personal invitation to invite them on the evening. According to Ojha the seminar will give them a mileage to reach the customers and inform them about their technology.

Tulip Telecom is conducting chain of technology seminars. Pune Stock Exchange is their next target followed by Cochin, Ahmedabad Kolkata and Delhi.
