New Delhi : Quantum announced a new preconfigured DXi appliance model optimized for small and medium enterprise environments, and a new configuration program designed to enable channel partners to size, order and install deduplication solutions. Together, the DXi7500 Express disk backup system and QuikFit configuration program offer a streamlined path to deploying and managing de-duplication in a wide range of distributed and midrange offerings. The DXi7500 Express is a turnkey DXi7500 deduplication solution with all the hardware and software needed for midrange environments, including VTL and NAS interface licenses. Customers have the option to upgrade the system with replication and path-to-tape capabilities for systems designed for use in multi-site environments and edge-to-core architectures. "With the DXi7500 Express and the QuikFit program we are making it possible for qualified storage resellers to efficiently sell and implement deduplication solutions," said George Bennett, Senior VP, America's sales, Quantum. "We have expert resellers who are prepared to help customers leverage the advanced features of the DXi7500 to address the most challenging backup issues. DXi7500 Express is part of Quantum's innovative family of DXi-Series disk-based backup solutions, which also includes the DXi3500 appliance, supported by common management tools and a global service and support team.
