Chennai : Virtusa Corp announced the further expansion of its India operations with the inauguration of a new facility at the DLF IT Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Chennai. This facility is part of Virtusa's Advanced Technology Center in Chennai.

The new Chennai facility is Virtusa's 5th facility in India, with 60,000 square feet area accommodating 650 employees. Globally, Virtusa has 4,300 employees located across India, Sri Lanka, US and UK.

Speaking on the occasion of the new facility launch, Keith Modder, President-Asia and Executive VP, Global Services, said, "Chennai is a major commercial and industrial city with a rich talent pool, good infrastructure and excellent educational institutions. This center further augments our already-existing advanced technology Centers in India. We leverage these capabilities to maintain and extend our leadership globally."
