New Delhi : Educomp Solutions has launched Educomp O3 learning system in schools in collaboration with Intel. Educomp O3 learning system provides teachers with a host of tools, strategies and applications to facilitate learning in a one-on-one computing environment. It includes components that schools need to make an effective transition to this new age learning system. Under the Educomp O3 program, every child in class will be equipped with an Intel powered classmate PC, a rugged and durable portable laptop, fully loaded with applications and features designed for one-on-one learning in schools. Teachers will be equipped and trained with teaching learning strategies to help them make a seamless and effortless transition to the teaching methodology using Educomp O3. Educomp and Intel ran pilot projects for the O3 program across eight schools in India. "Our O3 project received an overwhelming response from students, teachers and parents alike in all the schools where we conducted pilot projects to gauge its effectiveness and response among stakeholders," said Abhinav Dhar, President, K12, Educomp Solutions. "We are really happy to launch our O3 program. Over the last few years, Educomp has been focusing on introducing computing for school students that will allow for anytime anywhere learning. We plan to bring a paradigm shift in learning effectiveness and collaborative learning through our O3 initiative," said Shantanu Prakash, MD, Educomp Solutions. He added, "This year we plan to introduce our O3 program in around 50-75 schools across India benefiting around 30,000 to 50,000 students." R Ravichandran, Director-Sales, Intel South Asia said, "We are really excited about the opportunity to meet the educational needs of young people around the world with the Intel-powered classmate PC.
