Bengaluru : APC by Schneider Electric announced the launch of BR500CI-IN, its new 500VA UPS, for the Indian market. Providing affordable battery backup for home and office computers it is designed for Indian power conditions. The new UPS provides protection for data from power disturbances such as voltage fluctuations, surges and power cuts. This new 500VA UPS provides back-up power and protection against sudden surges, and spikes in power supply. It enables users to save and shutdown in case of power outage. The 500VA comes with several features including:

  • Automatic voltage regulation, which enables users to work through poor power conditions while preserving battery life.
  • Automatic diagnostic testing to ensure that the UPS is ready when it is needed.
  • Staged charging that recharges the battery faster and prolongs battery life.
  • BR500CI-IN comes with a limited warranty period of two years on the unit and a period of one year for the battery.

Priced at Rs 2,300, this new UPS is designed for space optimization without compromising on aesthetics, as it is compact and stackable.
