Ctrl S Datacenters announced that it has received ISO/IEC 20000 and ISO/IEC
27000 certificate, from BSI India, the subsidiary of the British Standards
Institute. These certificates validate that the service and security managements
of Ctrl S adheres to the highest standards in the world.
Ctrl S is the first data centers in the country to obtain this certification.
Moreover there are very few data centers in the world, which are certified by
ISO/IEC 20000. The possession of this certificate will enable Ctrl S to compete
for data center capacity requirement globally and not just in India.
ISO/IEC 20000, introduced in December 2005, is the first international
standard for IT Service Management, which incorporates the best practice
guidance contained within the ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure
Library) framework and others like ITSM and Microsoft Operations Framework.
Sridhar Reddy, CMD, Ctrl S, said, “We have been following the best
practices and providing the services of highest standards to our customers. In
fact we are the only tier-4 data center in the country. This makes it clear how
serious we are about our business and concerned about our customers needs. These
certifications reinforce our commitment to the quality.”
The ISO/IEC 27001 certification deals with establishing, implementing,
operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining, and improving an Information
Security Management System (ISMS). Since a data center hosts critical data, a
sophisticated and rigorous ISMS is absolutely essential. Certification by an
independent third party gives the confidence to the customers of Ctrl S that
their data is safe and secure with the company. Page(s) 1
