D-Link India and McAfee have teamed up to provide their customers a safe high-speed Internet access solution. Customers buying select D-Link broadband routers will now come with 90 days free McAfee VirusScan Plus.

As part of the Safe-Link initiative, D-Link has simultaneously introduced a new ADSL2/2+ router-GLB-802C so that buyers can immediately capitalize on this offer. The Safe-Link combo offer would be a key part of its broadband strategy.

Jayesh Kotak, VP-Product Management, D-Link India said, “With the Internet driving the emergence of a massive consumption by the home market, the demand for faster access and instant data is driving large scale technology manufacturers like D-Link to provide better, faster and more secure broadband products. D-Link has teamed up with McAfee to offer its customer's one-stop solution for high speed and secure personal computing.”

Kartik Shahani, Regional Director-India, McAfee said, “Protecting customer data from Internet threats is McAfee's mission. It is not safe to browse the Internet without protection from over 3,50,000 threats that are known to exist. The partnership will give customers a Fast and Safe experience.”

GLB-802C is a versatile, high-speed router supporting up to 24Mbps download speed and firewall protection with SPI. The combo offer with free McAfee anti-virus 90 day package will enable first time broadband user to go live right from the start with secure high speed access through a broadband router that provides all the functions that a home or small office needs to establish a link to the outside world.

D-Link broadband products are equipped with advanced firewall with SPI and anti-DDOS functionality. Along with the solid access control mechanism, D-Link routers are customers preferred choice against hackers and McAfee provides supreme protection against virus attacks, spam, phishing, identity theft plus email security make the personal computing safe and secure
