UTStarcom announced the appointment of Jagdish Devgan as Senior Director of
Sales, India. Based out of UTStarcom's Gurgaon office, Devgan will lead the
BSNL and MTNL account relationships, two of the largest public sector
telecommunication service providers in the country.
A 30-year telecommunications industry veteran, Devgan brings extensive
knowledge and expertise to his role at UTStarcom. He joins UTStarcom from
Comverse Network Systems Pvt Ltd where he was responsible for managing the
company's sales activities for its key customers in India.
Prior to Comverse Network Systems, Devgan was the VP of Marketing and Sales
at Xalted Information Systems Pvt Ltd, where he led marketing activities.
Previously, Devgan was associated with ITI Ltd where he headed marketing and
exports for the company.
Speaking on his appointment, Devgan said, “With an established track record
and a strong customer base in the region, UTStarcom is well positioned as a
leader in its segment. I look forward to joining the UTStarcom team and working
