EMC announced that Alok Ohrie will succeed Manoj Chugh as the President of
EMC India and SAARC Region. It may be noted that a week earlier, DQ Channels
Solutions Alert had reported this news which was soon picked up by others in the
industry. Chugh has been promoted to lead the Global Accounts Practice for EMC
in Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ).
Ohrie brings 20 years of IT-industry experience to EMC. He will lead EMC's
India and SAARC sales and service organizations with responsibility for the
region's total revenue, its current and future customers, and EMC's various
partners. Ohrie will work closely with Sarv Saravanan, who is responsible for
EMC's Center of Excellence based in Bangalore, to expand EMC's products and
services capabilities in India.
“Now is an exciting time to join EMC in India,” said Ohrie. “The EMC
information infrastructure value proposition for India customers and partners in
the enterprise and commercial markets has never been stronger, and I look
forward to building upon the strong foundation established by EMC under the
leadership of Manoj Chugh.” Page(s) 1
