To promote Transaction Kiosk, a product designed for online transactions,
Pune-based Pushpam Infotech is looking at signing up channel partners across the
country. The company will be engaging with partners who have the expertise to
sell the product and also have existing accounts with various corporate bodies.
The company will also be imparting training to its channel partners on the
technical aspects of the product and other sales related queries. “Besides
circulating brochures and catalogues, we will also impart technical training to
our partners through our website. Since the components used in this Kiosk are
standard PC components, the local engineers with the partners will not have any
problems in resolving the technical issues. In the event of any technical
problem, our technical team will support the partners in every possible way,”
said Chopda.
At present, Pushpam has deployed the Kiosk for travel agencies but it is
planning to offer the same to financial institutions, government and other
industries. Talking about it, Shreekant Chopda, CEO, Pushpam Infotech stated,
“The Transaction Kiosk has been designed for online transactions to meet the
requirements of different industries. Currently, it is operational for travel
agencies, and offers facilities like booking facilities for airline, bus, train,
car and even movie tickets.”
However, for banks and financial institutions the kiosk will offer services
such as cheque deposit and queue management. Similarly, for governments, the
kiosk will be customized to provide property and other related website
information. Besides the kiosk can also serve as call center wherein customers
can enquire about various destinations and book tickets for hotel, cinema etc.
The kiosk includes a 15-inch LCD monitor with touchscreen, magnetic card
reader, thermal receipt printer and keyboard for easy access.
He further added that customers can do various transactions on the kiosk. The
kiosk is equipped with the small form factor Pentium 4 Processor with 512MB RAM
and 80GB HDD along with features like USB port, serial port, parallel port,
sound port, network port (RJ45), modem port (RJ11). Besides, it is connected to
the Internet and uses a web-based application for all the different kinds of
transactions.
Pushpam is also planning to customize the design of the kiosk pertaining to
customer requirements. Elaborating on the same Chopda mentioned, “Apart from
offering technical support to our partners, we also look forward to customizing
the kiosk solutions for their customers. Different customers have different
kinds of requirements pertaining to the applications they use and hence we will
customize the solution accordingly.” Page(s) 1
