Hitachi Data Systems announced the appointment of Kerstin Baxter as Director of Volume Channels, Asia-Pacific. In her new role, Baxter will be responsible for driving the expansion strategy for Hitachi Data System's growing volume channel business in Asia-Pacific with respect to key global and regional partnerships like Acer, Ingram Micro, as well as with newly identified players from the small and medium business (SMB).

Most recently, Baxter was the Channel Director of Hitachi Data Systems in Australia and New Zealand, where she was responsible for developing and expanding Hitachi Data Systems' channel program to bring enterprise-class storage solutions to large and small organizations throughout Australia and New Zealand. Prior to that, Kerstin spent 10 years at Microsoft Australia.

“SMB is one of the key focused market segments of Hitachi Data Systems Asia-Pacific. We are confident that with Baxter's appointment, we will make further inroads into this fast growing market segment with tailored products designed to simplify the challenges of the SMB customers. Baxter's experience and leadership will also facilitate the way Hitachi Data Systems is transforming into a high volume business in terms of logistics, infrastructure and processes,” said Glen Carroll, VP-Sales Operations and Acting General Manager of Hitachi Data Systems Asia-Pacific.

“My focus will be on delivering robust storage solutions that better meet client needs and expectations in the region. I am confident of leveraging this opportunity with the strength of our solutions, our partnerships with leading technology providers as well as the expertise of our teams,” said Baxter.
