Logitech has appointed Redington India as the sole distributor of its Labtec range of PC peripherals in India. The first products to be launched under the Labtec brand will include a range of mice, ultra-flat wireless desktop USB and 2.4 Ghz notebook presenter. All the introduced products come with a two-year warranty.

Said Subrota Biswas, Country Manager, India and SAARC, Logitech, "Labtec products will complement the existing Logitech portfolio and offer a broader variety of products at multiple price-performance points to the consumer. Redington is ideally suited to help us achieve our goal."

Sharing his thoughts P.M Sethumadhavan, SBU Head for PC components, Redington said, "We share Logitech vision in the peripheral market. Our experience in PC and notebook distribution puts us at a unique advantage and we hope to capitalize on that."

The new range of Labtec peripherals launched by Logitech includes Labtec 2.4 GHz notebook presenter that has a range of up to 30-feet. It comes with controls to slide forward/ backward and launch slideshow as well as a black screen and integrated laser pointer. It is priced at Rs 1,899.

The Labtec wireless laser mouse for notebooks comes with a compact USB mini-receiver and recharging cable store inside the mouse for quick portability and when stored, the mini-receiver shuts off the mouse to save power. The low battery indicator conveniently helps know in advance to replace batteries. The streamlined shaped mouse is priced at Rs 1,399.

The Labtec ultra-flat wireless desktop USB is a flat keyboard that offers an array of one-touch controls and comes with a spill-resistant design. Paired along with a matching wireless 800-dpi optical mouse, it is priced at Rs 1,099.

The Labtec mini optical glow mouse comes with seven colors transitioning from one to the next, and has a 1000-dpi optical accuracy for tracking. It is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, and Windows Vista and comes with USB connection and is priced at Rs 499.

The Labtec Notebook Optical Mouse Pro- Labtec Notebook Optical Mouse Pro is equipped with a retractable cord - eliminating the hassle of tangled cords. With its light-weight optical tracking engine this ultra-portable mouse will work on almost all surfaces. Scroll wheel provides convenient and easy navigation and also functions as a third button. This 400-dpi optical mouse works with the desktop computers also. It is USB-compatible and priced at Rs 399.
