Emerson Network Power (India) has decided to take its data center offerings
to a wider channel base this year. Currently, the channel drives 50 percent of
this business and the vendor wants to add another 35 partners to tap more
customers for its data center solutions. Ankesh Kumar, Champion Marketing and
Communication, Emerson Network Power India said, "This year we will be add
more network solution partners to our channel base. We have presently 15 of
these and we plan to increase them to 40 by the year end."
Emerson will provide the incumbents with technical training and give them the
expertise to deploy data centers. "We understand the importance of
providing the right solutions for mission critical applications in data centers
and we know there a lot more data centers will come up in 2008," Kumar
added.
Emerson will also launch a portal for system integrators, which will give
them detailed information on deploying data center solutions. "The partner
just has to key in the area where he had to deploy the solutions and we will
give him a rough estimate of how much this project will cost and a synopsis
about how to deploy the solutions so that they will be successful in maintaining
the cooling part of it," said Kumar.
Besides this, the company will increase its base of Enterprise Business
Partners and Value-added Resellers base. "We will also launch various
schemes for our partners like Emerson Elite Partner Programs, Training Programs
and Libert Warrior Partners Channel Employees Program," Kumar noted.
He was also very enthusiastic about the Liebert Warrior Partners Channel
Employee Program and said, "This program will help our channel to retain
employees as these days there is a huge crunch of employees. Human resource as
become the most prestigious asset for a company and we will help our partners to
retain their employees as we will give various incentives for their employees
and help retain them they are employees."
The company's data center solutions range from cooling options, UPS, surged
circulation devices, power and distribution unit, transfer switches, monitoring
products and racks. Two years ago it had acquired Knurr AG of Munich, which
