Panipat based Computer City recently caught fire owing to a short circuit. Reports indicated that the first floor of the building caught fire in the afternoon. Confirming the same, Ajay Singla, CEO, Computer City said that he could not do much to avoid the situation.

He also added that he had to bear a loss of close to Rs 2-3 lakhs. "I lost 4-5 computers, 2 Air Conditioners and some furniture in the incident. This has hampered my business to a considerable extent, as the building was not insured. However the records and other purchase and sale documents were saved from the fire," There were no human casualties reported.

Singla also stated that after this event he would get the wiring of the building repaired and get the building insured. "I will adopt the needed safety measures and also inform other dealers to be well-prepared for such situations," mentioned Singla.
