Netgear Technologies India, a provider of networking products, has rolled out WGR614 wireless router, aimed at the SMB and SOHO market. This product is ideal for surfing the Internet, email and online chat for home and office and has a dual antenna. It can share high-speed Internet connection across 5-10 users and the company claims this can be done without any compromise on speed.

WGR614 provides a speed of up to 54Mbps and support 802.11g protocol. This broadband router with 4-ports is configurable for private networks and public hotspots and also has an inbuilt Double Firewall protection from external hackers' attacks. It enables spontaneous sharing of cable/DSL connection with other PCs possible.

The WGR614 features double firewall protection to help shield the network from intrusions with two security methods. Atul Jain, Country Manager, Netgear Technologies India and SAARC says, "With the too much pressure from real estate pricing there has been endeavors from all the quarters in the industry, the WGR614 will surely help you to be flexible in terms of physical presence in the office secondly, the user is free from the messy wiring. And thirdly, you enjoy a very good speed up to 54Mbps. So, combination of all these three things can increase the productivity of the users, mobility with home / office yet accessing e-mail /Internet seamlessly, accommodate more seats and finally, it add to the aesthetic office space." Weighing around 0.26 kg the router is available through Netgear's national distributors - Rashi Peripherals and Cyberstar Infocom - for Rs 2,149 with a two-year warranty.
