Bangalore-based Select Technologies (a division of WeP Peripherals Ltd.) concluded its four-day annual partners meet in Colombo, Sri Lanka recently. Over 115 global storage and security partners from India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Maldives attended the event. The theme for Ristey 2007 was 'FAME' signifying Fortune, Attitude, Motivate and Excite.

Rishtey 2007 was in tune with Select's new initiatives to reach and work with the SAARC partner community, which was also why Colombo was identified to introduce itself and exploring the security market in Sri Lanka.

Ram N Agarwal, MD and CEO, WeP Peripherals opined, 'Rishtey, as the name suggests, is one of the biggest networking platform for Select's channel partners and technology principals. It provides a forum to share ideas and network with the channel fraternity. This forum not only got us together but helped us decide on our future vision and growth".

"Trust, confidence and belief are the three pillars of Select's relationship with its valued global partners", said Sunil Pillai, Business Head, Select Technologies. "There is a scope for everybody to grow in the security market, and we must make the best use of it together in this Rishtey", he added.

The technical sessions, with presentations from Cisco and Sonicwall, were interspersed with fabulous beach side dinner organized, with the Srilankan ethnic dance "Perihara" and with Cisco's theme evening "Casino Royale".
