Singapore based Gemini Hitech announced setting up of its Indian entity Gemini Hitech Distribution India Pvt. Ltd. This initiative by the Company is primarily for supporting its channel distribution operations better and offering service to its customers. "This is a step forward in our commitment to the Indian market," informed Arun Bhan, Country Head for the new entity.

The Company has set up full-fledged service facilities at Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. It will set up similar facilities in Bangalore, Secunderabad and Kolkata soon enough to offer pan-India service coverage to its customers. The Company also announced the appointment of a National Service Head, Bhupinder Kochar, a veteran technocrat who would be administering service operations across India through the Central Service Center at New Delhi.

"We have been selling our products in India through import partners for six years now. This business model has worked well for us and we intend continuing the same. Our products have achieved high acceptability amidst users and we are truly overwhelmed by the response. Owing to the stupendous business growth in the recent past and the immense market potential that India has on offer, it became imperative for us to set up the local entity. Gemini Hitech Distribution India will not be performing sales operations and has been set up primarily to support the reseller network and cater to the after-sales service requirements of our customers," added Rakesh Malhotra, Director, Gemini Hitech Pte Ltd."

Some of the most popular products in Gemini's diverse portfolio include USB external casings, cordless headset with FM, USB flash watches, portable DVD/DIVX players, MP3 & MP4 players, webcams with night vision capability, USB connector toolkits and a host of essentials and accessories for USB applications and laptops.
