BA Systems, which manufactures routers for enterprise and SMB, is looking to grow its channel presence in India. Currently working with about 12 regional distributors, the company is looking to appoint system integrators (SIs) and valued-added resellers (VARs) across India and expand its base here. According to B Jagadish, Director Marketing, BA Systems, "For the distribution of our security and routing products, we would be appointing VARs across different regions in the country to reach out more effectively to the customer. We would also look to joining hands with SIs who are focusing on new generation networks to bring their expertise along and help us provide more customizable solutions to our customers. We would provide all our partners the required training and certification to enable them to understand customer problems, get access to domain expertise and build mission critical networks."

With an aim to capture a larger customer base, BA Systems is targeting tier two and tier three cities for both products as well as partner sign ups. "Given our focus on expansion we are working to have a direct sales and support presence across various cities and towns in India that include Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune and the North East over the next two quarters. By the end of December this year, we would also have in place toll free number for support, which customers can call in case of a need," Jagadish added.

Sharing his thoughts on the company's expansion plans, PJ Singh, Founder and Chairman BA Systems said, "With our management and technical teams based both out of Bangalore and San Jose, the company has transferred its US-based capabilities, and is building a skilled and knowledge technical team in India to be the new worldwide router supplier. We are growing in India, have already made presence in SAARC, China and ASEAN market and are looking for further expansion. We see great opportunity in the telecom sector and we believe that Ethernet and Broadband would be the areas where we can maximize on."
