As the nomination procedure for the election of executive council of PCAIT for the year 2007-08 comes to a close, the members are enthusiastic about the appointment of new executive council.

According to V Krishnan, Executive Secretary, PCAIT, "Looking at the rate of filing nominations, it is clear that members are interested in making this association more active. Despite their busy schedule in daily business, their level of interest for participating in activities of association is remarkable and it acts as a motivating factor for everybody."

The number of nominations this time has been more than expected. "The kind of response we have got is overwhelming and it shows that members have a willingness to participate. This indicates that PCAIT is not dominated by any kind of conventional politics, " said Saket Kapur, Secretary, PCAIT.

May 23rd has been fixed as the day of election. The elected members of the new executive council would elect among themselves the new office bearers that include president, vice-president, treasurer, general secretary and joint-secretary.
