Senao Equipments has announced its foray in SOHO segment with the introduction of NSR-1220 its wireless SOHO Router. Announcing the introduction, Mel Su, General Manager, Senao International said, "Since our tie-up with Rashi Peripherals last year we have seen tremendous growth in the enterprise wireless segment and are now keen to broaden our base in India with the entry into the SOHO segment".

Giving details, Sanjay Aggarwal, Deputy General Manager, Rashi Peripherals said, "With broadband Internet penetration increasing manifold along with multiple PC and notebook usage, SOHO segment is a huge opportunity and we will go all out to tap the new business opportunity. Apart from the NSR1220 there are a couple of other exciting products to be introduced in the coming months specifically for the SOHO segment."

The new product would help users to wirelessly share Internet connection once connected to a broadband modem. Users can also surf the web, check mails and chat. The device supports the 802.11g standard and is backward compatible with 802.11b ensuring compatibility with a wide range of wireless devices. It comes with four Ethernet ports so that users can connect Ethernet enables computers and devices. Being UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) it will help users to start applications with ease. The inbuilt firewall will prevent malicious access to computers from Internet.

Senao along with Rashi Peripherals its sole authorized distributors in India also plans to conduct technical training programs and road shows on wireless networks in the coming months with a special focus on the emerging markets.
