SANTA CLARA
APRIL 13, 2007

Sun Microsystems Inc. and SavaJe Technologies announced that the two companies have entered into a definitive agreement in which Sun will buy out SavaJe's intellectual property assets. Details on the acquisition of these assets will be unveiled at the annual JavaOne Conference being held in San Francisco from May 8-11, 2007.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of Sun's 2007 fiscal year, which began on April 2, 2007.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed, as the transaction is immaterial to Sun's earnings per share.

SavaJe Technologies delivers the Mobile Java Platform Experience. The company's SavaJe Mobile Platform radically simplifies and accelerates the development of highly customizable, richly branded and secure user interfaces across mobile feature phone handsets. This enables operators and manufacturers for the first time to fully exploit the branding, marketing and revenue potential of mobile phones.

SavaJe Technologies is a privately held company, which has been funded by leading venture capital firms, including Ridgewood Capital. SavaJe maintains global headquarters in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
