Intel Corporation announced the appointment of Kamil Hasan as Director, Reseller Channel Operation (RCO), Intel Asia-Pacific.

As Intel's channel chief for APAC, Hasan is responsible for driving the demand and sales of Intel products through its valued distributors and channels in the Asia Pacific region. Hasan has over 18 years in the IT industry, commencing with Intel in 1997 as Channel Account Manager in Pakistan.

Since then, Hasan has progressively built a solid reputation amongst Intel's APAC channel customers as District Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager before his advancement as Country Manager for Intel Pakistan. In December 2005, Hasan rejoined the Reseller Channel Operation as Regional Distribution Manager, based in Singapore.

"Through our commitment in the ecosystem, Intel is continually driving channel growth by bringing new ideas to market faster and allowing the channel to lead in transitions of one family of products to the next," said John Antone, VP and General Manager for Intel Asia Pacific. "Hasan's proven track record in understanding the needs of our reseller channel community will ensure the most tailored offerings for our customers' priorities," Antone added.

Intel first established a reseller channel sales organization more than a decade ago to focus on the needs of our worldwide network of distributors, resellers, dealers and local integrators.

Intel's channel accounts for more than 20 percent of all Intel processor unit sales, selling products through a network of more than 255 distributors with 1,100 warehouse locations to a broad organization of 187,000 members in 160 countries.

Intel also delivers ingredients --such as desktop, mobile and server CPUs, boards and systems -- and software and mobility solutions to channel customers and local original equipment manufacturers.
