Datacraft India, a solution and service specialist, will offer Dynamic Desktop Deployment (DDD) solutions in collaboration with Microsoft Corporation for the Indian business market. DDD simplifies the task of upgrading and managing an organisations personal computer fleet, making it easy to deploy, maintain and manage both software and hardware assets.

It is a zero-touch, structured, fast, automated desktop life-cycle management solution with proven process and smart technology. It automatically deploys, maintains, secures and centrally manages a Standard Operating Environment (SOE) by deploying up to 1,000 desktops per day from a central location in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

DDD also maintains a detailed inventory of software and hardware assets within the organization, helping to ensure that IT policies are fully complied with. The net result is that the desktop (and optional server) SOE can be securely delivered and managed in a cost effective and supportive manner. By automating and improving the management of desktop software and patch deployment across the organisation, operational costs are reduced and end-user experience improved.

Sunil Manglore, CEO of Datacraft India, said, “Desktop deployment projects are typically some of the most complex, demanding, and potentially high risk IT projects that an organisation can undertake. As a result, organisations today spend about 70% of their IT budgets on maintaining, supporting and securing their desktop and server environment. With DDD, organisations can now achieve a SOE in a shorter time and at lower cost.”

Commenting on the announcement, Pallavi Kathuria, Director – Server Business Group, Microsoft India said, “In the scenario of constantly increasing Infrastructure management costs and complexity, Microsoft is committed to providing technology solutions that drive agility and manage complexity for an optimised infrastructure.”

“Our System Centre product line provides flexible, extensible and enterprise-ready solutions that will help customers better manage their IT Infrastructure. Datacraft's DDD solution, which is built on System Centre, will help address key customers pain points, specifically around desktop deployment, and we are sure customers will derive great value from this solution,” she further added.
