Computer Associates (CA) India recently hosted a two day Partner Conference on board 'The Star Cruise' which aimed to provide insight into its strategy and help give a direction to the partner community. The event was well attended by 100 partners.

The two-day event included conferences, sessions on industry trends and roadmaps for the various business units of CA (from security, storage, enterprise systems management and business service optimization). Partner testimonials of CA's solutions 'At Work' were also part of the event to give the Indian channel an insight to the global partner community. The event ended with an awards ceremony filled with fun and games.

The event also included addresses and keynote speeches from CA visiting executives Brenton Smith, Area Manager, CA, Asia South; Chris Wilson, Regional Manager, Channels, CA, APJ and Spencer B Schweibold, VP, Business Development, CA Inc.

Commenting on the event, Vivek Sharma, Country Business Manager, Wipro Infotech said, “The idea of the cruise was definitely a new one and an excellent opportunity to meet other partners and network.” Sharing similar views, Manish Manocha, IT-Head, F1 Infotech said, "This has given us a platform to understand new business dynamics, new opportunities and new technology. The event was really motivating and we appreciate the initiative taken by CA."

“The event has helped partners come together in a forum to express their commitment to selling CA Solutions,” said Sasikanth R, GM and Head Enterprise SBU, Redington (India) Ltd. “The highlight of the event was that it brought out the clear-cut strategy of CA for the Indian Market.”

Pravir Arora, Head Channels, CA India and SAARC said, “Our partners have been an integral part of CA's business and we value their efforts and contribution. This occasion further enabled us to garner vital feedback from channel partners in order to enhance our solutions, services and support."

Some of the enterprise partners who attended the event included Wipro, HCL, TCS, CMC, CMS, Tech Valley, Millennium Information Technologies, Satyam Computer Services, Allied Digital Services, Datacraft India, L&T Infotech, etc.

Distributors and channel partners who were present were Redington India, Ingram Micro India, Open Systems Technologies, Kinfotech, Binary Consulting Solutions, Benelec Infotech, Comprehensive Consultancy, F1 Infotech, Futuresoft Solutions, Locuz Enterprise Solutions, Micropro Software Solutions, PH Teknow, Pace Infotech as well as Creative Peripherals and Distributions.
