Mumbai-based IT distributor SES Technologies has surpassed the Rs
500-crore-mark as on December 2006. This catapults the company in the big league
of distributors. The turnover for the previous financial year-end in March 2006
was Rs 462 crore.
Kurian Chandy, CEO - SES Technologies said, "This has been possible
through a committed team of employees, a strong network of about 3500 channel
partners and major international vendors associating with the company during
challenging times. We are in the process of enhancing relations with existing
partners by providing them with better services. We plan to offer interesting
schemes and programs for the partners to revitalize the value chain."
With a strong infrastructure required for the distribution business, the core
strengths of the company are its reach and presence in tertiary cities across
the country, along with its logistic capabilities.
SES Technologies now wants to focus on value-added products in a strategic
fashion thereby creating value for the end-customer. The initiative is being
taken proactively by tapping the market with a basket of solutions.
