Infotek Software and Systems, a player in the RFID system integration market, has rolled out Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) to accelerate the AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture) industry.

What makes these POCs notable is the plug-n-play feature that is aimed to iron out customer hitches for RFID deployments.

Speaking on the sidelines of a joint RFID workshop with I2IT in the city today, Ashim A Patil, CEO of Infotek said, "The typical sales cycle in the RFID market ranges from four to six months to even four years. It's a global $12 to 13 billion market. But it takes a lot of time and efforts to crack the initial sales phase. The POCs are aimed to help us do that."

The company is also ready to go public soon. "We need some more success stories before we do that," Patil added.

The company that has achieved growth to the tune of 150 per cent, is also investing Rs 75 lakhs in a demo center for RFID. It is operating in verticals like manufacturing, automation and education with major domestic focus in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Hyderabad, Noida, Gurgaon, Bangalore and Chennai.
