LG Electronics India unveiled an interesting promotional campaign for
all its retailers across the nation called - Teen Patti Khelega Kya
Under the “Teen Patti Khelega Kya” offer, on every sale of a desktop PC
the retailer gets a reward card having similar looks of a playing card. These
reward cards are marked Ace, King, Queen and Jack. Every desktop PC depending on
the model, has a reward card pasted inside the top flap of the carton box.
An LG My PC with Intel Celeron processor will have a Jack, Single core
CPU models will have Queen and Dual core models will have a King. The C2D
processor models will have an Ace.
The retailer can make many combinations of these cards such as
sequences or a triplet. There are set of combinations defined and each
combination will get him to accrue the mentioned incentive amount. For example a
combination of three Aces will help the retailer score Rs 1650, while a triplet
King can get him Rs 1360 and a sequence like Ace, King and Queen can get him Rs
1200.
The retailer can accrue these reward cards and redeem them for any LG
products without any limitations on products/models. There is also a provision
for the retailer to pay the balance amount to opt for a product costing higher
than his accruals. This quarterly scheme running from 1st January 2007 to 31st
March 2007 and is objectively compiled to be innovative and secure the interest
level of the participating retailer.
According to R Manikandan, GM, Sales and Marketing - IT Products, LG
Electronics, “LG has always taken lead in innovative channel schemes and offers.
LG Channel Vikas Patra was the pioneer to a virtually paperless scheme, followed
by Dollar varsha and others. This new reseller scheme named “ Teen Patti Khelega
Kya is even more innovative and is first of its kind in the industry. While
wishing all the partners a very happy New Year, we also wish them more
prosperity through this most innovative and hassle free scheme on LG My PC.” Page(s) 1
