DECEMBER 19, 2006

Emerson Network Power (India) announced that it has secured a contract with the Director General of Supplies and Disposal (DGS&D), Govt of India. As part of this contract, Emerson will become eligible to supply Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) needs of various government departments and organizations through its ITON series UPS systems in 600VA and 1000VA capacities.

The deal marks Emerson's entry into the Government sector in India. Emerson has been chosen by DGS&D on the basis of its track record of delivering high quality products and solutions to the government organizations internationally. Emerson is currently working with leading PSUs and PSEs in India.
Speaking on the occasion, Prashant Mehar, Corporate Champion - Channel (Uptime Solution), Emerson Network Power said, "The registration with an esteemed body like DGS&D is a testament of high quality products that Emerson offers to its customers. Our strength is quality and support and I am sure that this move will provide customers a chance to avail our high quality products at competitive price."
