Ahmedabad-based Elitecore Technologies, promoters of Cyberoam UTM product,
which recently tied up with Avaya GlobalConnect to market their UTM boxes at
national level, is now involved in creating second and third layer of partners
under them. The second layer of channel network, which is already formed, has
many D-Link partners as its regional distributors (RDs). “For the first time, I
believe, D-Link regional distributors are looking for some new product/tie-up
and we are proud to be associated with them,” said Ashish VD Thapliyal, Head
(Channel Sales & Alliances) –Cyberoam, Elitecore Technologies Limited.
The company will work closely with Avaya and its new RDs, while engaging the
next level (third layer) of partners. “We are looking at 100 channel partners
here, who will chiefly be a system integrator (SI) or network integrator (NI) in
the market. The entire process will be completed in the next two months and
Cyberoam will go all out in business from January, 2007,” he informed.
Elitecore has appointed Chennai-based Texonic Instruments as its regional
distributor in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The other RDs include SGI Netronics (Digicom)
in Kerala; Data Systems in Andhra Pradesh; Sejutronics in Maharastra; Icenet in
Gujarat; Taraq in Delhi; Paragaon in Madhya Pradesh; Eastern Comnet in Kolkata;
Excel for Punjab, Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir; Supercom in Rajasthan and Mudra
Electronics for UP, Uttranchal and Bihar. “They will be our exclusive partners
in the region,” added Thapliyal.
Cyberoam was initially launched as UTM software, about three years ago, with
bandwidth management, proxy and reporting functions. Elitecore expanded its
offering, over the years, by adding up URL filters, firewall, anti-virus,
anti-spam, IPS, IDS, ISP fail over and load balancing functions in Cyberoam.
“Today, we have a complete product-UTM appliance, with right mix of hardware and
software in it. Our product price range starts from Rs 1 lakh and goes up to Rs
17 lakh, based on the number of users and load,” he pointed out.
Cyberoam claims to have a wide clientele base, from varied industry segments
such as manufacturing, healthcare, media and government et al. “Our association
with Avaya GlobalConnect will give us a good opening in BPO and ITeS segments,
since they are a leading solution provider there,” quipped Thapliyal.
Cyberoam is aiming to gross a revenue of Rs 20 crore in the current fiscal,
while last year it closed the books with a turnover of Rs 8.5 crore. “It is a
bit ambitious target but we are confident of achieving it. We are aiming at 30
percent marketshare in UTM space by 2008,” he revealed.
Elitecore is working on to take Cyberoam across the globe and already have a
couple of distributors in the US, Egypt and Dubai. It is in the process of
identifying and appointing partners in Australia and UK.
Apart Cyberoam, Elitecore Technologies has products called Crestel
(convergent billing framework) and 24online (billing and bandwidth management
solution for ISPs).
Elitecore Technologies as a company grossed Rs 22 crore turnover last year.
