MUMBAI
OCTOBER 26, 2006

Seagate Technology today announced the availability of two new network storage products aimed at small office and home network (SOHO) users. These are- the Seagate Mirra Sync and Share Personal Server, an easy content management solution that provides automatic and continuous data protection for multiple users, synchronization and remote access to data anytime, anywhere; and the Maxtor Shared Storage II, a simple shared storage solution, providing up to one terabyte of capacity for automatic backup, centralized storage and media playback for listening to music and viewing digital content on connected entertainment devices. Both products will be available this month from major resellers and retailers.

“To help address the continuing market need for simple, easy-to-use network storage for the small business and consumer market, Seagate is focused on delivering a broad array of fully-integrated products with robust feature sets to simplify the task of storing, protecting, managing and sharing content,” said Rajesh Khurana, Country Manager, Seagate, India & SAARC. “Whether in a small business or home environment, our customers benefit from years of engineering innovation and market-leading features to manage the fast rise in consumption and creation of commercial and user-generated digital content.”

The Seagate Mirra Sync and Share Personal Server combines effortless digital content protection with secure remote access and sync and share. Connected to a router, Seagate Mirra Personal Server continuously and automatically protects important content on all networked Mac or PC computers, while providing 24x7, over-the-web access to your business or personal content.

With Seagate Mirra Personal Server, small office and home office users can simply and securely share photos, files and documents with other networked computers or with anyone who has an e-mail address. Ideal for small business users, stored and shared files can be automatically synchronized among networked computers, ensuring others are up to date with the latest changes to key documents.

The enhanced Maxtor Shared Storage II solution provides up to one terabyte of capacity to share, storage and can automatically backup computer files, photos, music and digital videos to one location on a home or small business network. Its user-friendly interface provides easy set up and backup scheduling of networked computers, data restoration and media playback to networked media/entertainment systems without being tied down to a dedicated computer host.

Mirra Sync and Share Personal Server will be available in 320GB and 500GB capacities for a recommended retail price (RRP) starting Rs 23,500. The Maxtor Shared Storage II solution will be available in a 1TB capacity model and will have an RRP of Rs 37,500.
