NEW DELHI
SEPTEMBER 29, 2006

Keeping in mind the ongoing festive season of Dussera and Deepawali, the Allahabad Computer Dealers Welfare Association (ACDWA) is coming forward to organize a 'mega IT mela' in the city on 13th, 14th & 15th of October 2006.

With a theme to provide IT infrastructure for not only Allahabad but other neighboring cities as well, this computer mela is likely to attract participation from different corners of the state of UP.

"We all want to generate good business and increase profitability and this is just one of way of doing that. This is the first time that a big IT event of this nature is happening in the city. We have already got confirmation from around 40 different companies for their participation. We feel that this event will provide an ideal opportunity for Allahabad based resellers and other regional IT players to come and highlight their product offerings," informed Vipin Gupta, President, ACDWA.

As this is the first time an event of this size and nature is happening in the city, Allahabad based resellers are quite upbeat as far as success of this event is concerned. "It is only just Allahabad but cities like Varanasi, Kanpur or Lucknow that will have participation for this event. The reseller community is already quite exited about this event," he added.

As part of its focus towards IT products, the event is likely to have different set of stalls focusing towards - desktops, laptops, computer accessory and other IT equipment. Keeping in mind the changing business dynamics of the region, the event is also dedicating some space for IT furniture providers to showcase their offerings at the event.

"Over the past recent years, computer reselling business has changed quite a lot and today there are a lot of people who are involved in selling IT furniture and other related products. So we will be having proper space for this segment as well," he explained.
