Dow Corning Corp. has extended its SAP information delivery system to
customers in India which gives them immediate access to the support and
information they need anywhere in the world.
Raj Kapur, MD, Dow Corning India, said, "This additional investment in
India will support the growth of our customers' businesses. By adopting Dow
Corning's proven global system, we will be able to provide more efficient
service and faster response times to Indian companies."
"Although we have been using SAP information management software here,
our system was not fully integrated with Dow Corning's state-of-the-art global
system until now," he added.
The global SAP system enables Dow Corning to respond quickly to India's
rapidly changing business and market conditions, and will give customers more
choices to better meet their individual needs for performance and innovation.
The enhanced SAP system also provides more accurate information and enhanced
reporting capabilities for local governmental, environmental, and health and
safety regulations.
SAP automates the management of Dow Corning's global supply chain; customer
and supplier data; and accounting, billing and fulfillment processes. This
implementation also supports the company's safety and sustainability goals. Page(s) 1
