The PCAIT members have once again got an opportunity that they can leverage for business benefits. The Singapore High Commission has invited members of PCAIT to interact with a Singaporean delegation arriving in New Delhi on June 26, 2006. The delegation, comprising officials from IT and consumer electronics companies, is on a two day business networking mission.

The full-day business networking session which start on 26th of June from 10.30am onwards at Hotel Taj Mahal will meet PCAIT members on a one-on-one basis.

The Singaporean delegation will be visiting Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore also.

Last time when PCAIT members had received an invitation from Delhi government to be a part of delegation to Moscow everybody gave them four cheers. This time round when the Singapore High Commission invited members of pioneering association to be a part of business discussions it is nothing short of a golden feather in PCAIT's cap as its members gets an exclusive opportunity, which until recently was available only to vendor companies operating in the country.

Talking about the opportunity Sanjiv Krishen, PCAIT member and Chairman of Iris Computers said, "This is a great opportunity through which we could bring more value to our businesses. If we find the products of the visiting Singaporean companies worth for India market we will try to grab hold of their distribution rights for India since Singapore made electronic items have excellent credibility."

The Singapore High Commission has also invited various home grown IT and telecom equipments companies for delegation meet. The visiting Indian companies will meet each of the Singapore companies at their respective tables allotted for a period of about 15-20 minutes each. During this time, first the Singapore company will demonstrate their product and then present their corporate profile, after which the Indian buyer will share information about their own company and what products they are carrying currently and what products they are interested to add to their portfolio.

PCAIT member Ranjan Chopra of Team Computers said, "Earlier most of the channel people who are involved in importing business were interacting with these companies individually but this is for the first time we will be meeting the exporters unanimously as an association. On the other hand visiting vendor companies will also benefit from this meeting since PCAIT has pre-filtered the serious players only who will meet up with them."

According to V Krishnan, Secretary PCAIT, this meeting opportunity will turn out to be fruitful one for PCAIT as they can explore business prospects with Singaporean IT components companies.

The companies visiting India are San Diego, California based Razer (Asia Pacific) having high-end computer gaming peripherals as its major offering; Aztech Systems having data and voice communication, multimedia and digital products; ESys Technologies, leading IT components distributing and PC manufacturing firm; Hexon Media offering wide range of memory modules for servers, workstations, desktops, laptops and embedded systems; Shankar's Emporium Singapore having Zaiko branded consumer electronic appliances; Wearnes Tech Solutions offering complete solutions in the converged computer, consumer electronics and communications products segment.
