Gemini Communication has informed BSE that it has signed an agreement to acquire entire share capital of Clear Blue. Clear Blue owns IPs and IPRs in the wireless broadband space. With the said acquisition Gemini will become the largest wireless broadband company in South Asia.

Chennai-based Gemini Communication offer technology solutions in LAN/WAN, Computer Telephony Integration (CTI), NetworkCARE Services, NetworkCARE Products, Wireless and Telecom and RFID. Recently the company acquired US-based PointRed Technologies, which has been funded by Acer Technology Venture America to the tune of $9 Million. This acquisition Gemini had projected its revenue to Rs 200 crore for the current year.

The company has experience in the banking, insurance, stock exchange, pharmaceuticals, trading and distribution, manufacturing and processing, retailing, telecommunication and transportation sectors. Some of the major clients include VSNL, MTNL, TNEB, AIRTEL, NIC, Idea cellular, BSNL etc.
