Alekhya Talapatra

Alekhya Talapatra, a HP veteran from early Digital/Compaq days, has joined IBM Global Services as Head, Government Vertical.

He will be driving the Services Sales business for IBM. Over the years, Talapatra has been active at various capacities. His last assignment at HP India was country manager of Defence and Security space.

Talapatra has served Digital Equipment (acquired by Compaq) and Compaq (acquired by HP) at senior positions. He was responsible for building a formidable channel set-up for Compaq in North India and is regarded as one of the most successful channel managers in the Indian IT industry.

Before this, he has had successful stints at Wipro Infotech and Maruti Udyog Ltd.

A frequent speaker at industry events, Talapatra has also been featured in many of the leading publications as an industry expert and is an ardent writer on myriad topical issues.
