With an aim to help organizations in terms of fully optimizing their resources

With an aim to help organizations in terms of fully optimizing their resources, product lifecycle management focused vendor, UGS, is focusing its efforts towards 'digital manufacturing' in the Indian region. As part of this initiative, it is engaged in delivering certification programs designed to better equip its partner community when it comes to handling issues with digital manufacturing.

Digital manufacturing helps companies to manage processes in a better way, optimize their resources fully and also reduce on the time to market. UGS have its Tecnomatix suite of product that is designed for this segment. “We want to work very closely with our set of partners here in India. We are having different certification programs in India from four days to 20 days duration. These are ideally suited for our partners in India,” informed Gautam Dutta, Business Manager, Digital Manufacturing Solutions, UGS.

UGS already has 35 customers in India going in for 'digital manufacturing'. As this concept is helping companies gain on the competition when it comes to better timing their production, the company believes that there would be a lot of adoption for this concept in the Indian region. “This certification process is our way to make sure that our partners are well equipped to handle this concept,” Dutta added.

At present, UGS has more than 2,000 organizations with 10,000 seats as its customers here in India and the company is betting big on the concept of digital manufacturing. Targeting customers in manufacturing segment, within the Indian region, the company works with its set of partners like TCS, Tata Elxsi, Mpower and DesignTech.
