Netgear

Netgear, worldwide provider of networking products, is about to initiate its India chapter. The company is all set to establish its direct presence in the sub-continent through its office in New Delhi. For the same purpose, it has appointed Yogesh Sharma as its first Country Manager.

Yogesh, who has been associated with networking business for the last 10 years, is currently serving as VP (Enterprise) of D-Link India, which is based at Delhi. According to market reports, he is expected to join Netgear from January 5, 2006. Despite several efforts by DQ Channels, he could not be contacted for his comments.

Currently, Netgear products are available in India through three of its distribution partners. They are Delhi-based Advent Electronics, Bangalore-based Cyberstar Infocom and Mumbai-based Rashi Peripherals. The vendor has already employed two Regional Managers--Atul Jain and Kerman Rana in India to keep a tab on market dynamics and liaison with distributor partners locally. They look after north and east and south and west regions respectively.

Netgear also has a full-fledged call centre in Pune, which deals with after sales support of its products. The company is a Santa Clara, California headquartered company, which offers networking products for SMBs and home users.
