Hewlett-Packard India announced the availability of HP StorageWorks MSL2024, a tape storage library technology designed for the small and medium businesses. 
According to HP, the new product will be an economic solution to meet the challenges of rapid growth of data in the small and medium businesses. 

This latest generation tape technology will assist the customers with several features such as 9.6TB native capacity in a 2U form factor, remote administrator to control and troubleshoot the device, bar code reader and modular design of tape library. HP said that the MSL2024 Tape Library will offer the latest generation LTO tape drives; either one Ultrium 960 (LTOGen3), or up to two Ultrium 448 (LTOGen 2) tape drives. 

The library also offers two 12-slot removable magazines, one mail slot and barcode reader for efficient media management. All MSL2024 Tape Libraries and associated kits are RoHS compliant.
