ProCurve launched four new products at its

ProCurve launched four new products at its 'Next-Generation Event' in Mumbai. A similar event was organized at Bangalore on November 28 and at New Delhi on December 1. The four new products, which were launched at the event, include ProCurve Switch 8100fl Series, ProCurve Switch 2600-8-PWR with Gigabit Uplink, ProCurve Mobility Manager 1.0 and ProCurve Identity Driven Manager 2.0. 

Mak Chin Wah, Sales Manager, ProCurve Networking by HP, SEA and India and Tan Kwong Hui, Technical Consultant, ProCurve Networking by HP, SEA and India, were present at the event. 

Participants comprised channel and the IT managers and IT administrators of different customer organizations. The major topics discussed in the event included the worldwide presence of ProCurve networking products and the changing trend of networking. 

When asked about the company's presence in India, one of the company's spokesperson said, "India is a very big market and has a huge growth potential. It is true that we entered late in the country but HP has its presence and our products are also good." He also said that ProCurve would presently focus on the enterprise segment alone as the product line basically comprise of the high-end networking products. 

The event was organized mainly to increase the visibility of ProCurve products. "We have got a huge response from these events. In fact at Bangalore, where over 100 participants were present, we closed a good number of deals," he said.
